Frequently asked questions
- Does the link really delete my file when it expires? ↓
- Yes. When a link expires — by time or by reaching the max opens limit — the file is permanently and automatically deleted from our servers. Nothing stays online.
- Does the recipient need an account to view or download? ↓
- No. Anyone with the link can open it in any browser. No account, no app, and no sign-up required on either end.
- What is the maximum file size? ↓
- You can upload files up to 100 MB. This covers most photos, short videos, and documents without needing to compress them first.
- Can I expire a link early before the deadline? ↓
- Yes. Every link you create comes with an owner token stored in your browser. Visit your link and you'll see an option to expire it immediately, permanently deleting the file on demand.
- What happens when the max opens limit is reached? ↓
- The link stops working and the file is deleted automatically. This is useful when you want to limit how many times a file can be accessed.
- Is my uploaded file private? ↓
- Yes. Files are stored at a randomly generated URL that is not listed or discoverable. Only people you share the link with can access it.
