Share Files Privately Without Creating an Account

Sharing a photo or video privately online usually means one of two things: uploading it to a cloud service and hoping their privacy settings work correctly, or attaching it to an email and losing control of it forever. Neither is great when you just need to send something quickly without creating an account.

share-pics.com takes a different approach: upload your file, get a private link, and the file disappears after your chosen time window. No account required.

Why Private File Sharing Matters

When you upload to a typical photo-sharing platform, several things happen that you probably don't want:

  • The platform indexes your file for its own purposes
  • The link never expires unless you manually delete it
  • You often need the recipient to have an account to view it
  • Your activity is tracked and linked to your profile

For casual personal use that might be fine, but when you're sharing a document, a photo for a client, a video for a friend, or any file where you'd like it to not live online forever, it's a problem.

How Expiring Links Work

Every file you upload to share-pics.com gets a unique random link — something like share-pics.com/aB3kXm9qTz. That link:

  • Expires automatically after 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, or 30 days — your choice
  • Can have a view limit so the file disappears after a set number of opens
  • Requires no login from the person receiving it — they just click the link

Once the link expires, the file is deleted from our servers. There's no account, no archive, no "deleted files" folder — it's gone.

Who Uses Private File Sharing?

Private, temporary links are useful in more situations than you might think:

Sending photos to family — Share vacation photos without dumping them into a shared album that lives on forever. Set the link to expire in 7 days.

Client proofing — Send a draft image or document to a client for review. A 3-day link keeps things tidy and professional.

Team handoffs — Need to get a large file to a colleague who's on a different system? A share link is faster than email attachments and more private than dropping it in a public folder.

One-time shares — Got something sensitive you need to send exactly once? Set max opens to 1 and the link deactivates after the first view.

No Account, No Tracking

The only cookie share-pics.com uses for sharing is a small local list of your recent links, stored in your browser, so you can find them again. There's no account, no email required, and no link between your identity and the files you share.

The service is as simple as it gets: pick a file, choose how long it should last, upload, share the link.

Getting Started

  1. Go to share-pics.com
  2. Drop your image or video into the upload area (or click to select, or paste with Ctrl+V)
  3. Choose an expiry time
  4. Click Upload & get link
  5. Share the link — that's it

No signup. No waiting. Your file is online in seconds with a clean, copyable link ready to send.
